The local host, Bob, was a valuable resource and we had a few impromptu requests that he was able to help us out with, including last minute flight arrangement changes made very late at night. Being nervous booking a trip to Costa Rica they messaged back and forth for months leading up and also separately found and booked excursions for us so we only needed to bring spending and tip money. I have planned many trips and know it gets nerve wracking and they couldn’t have done better making it comfortable. 1) Communication is key to any booking and Chris, Antonio and Bob were outstanding from creating a (Hidden by Airbnb) chat group 3 weeks in advance to being super considerate picking up a 3am phone call because we needed a cab ride home.
2) Location is 10 mins away from Jaco up on the cliff with fantastic view. Its perfect break from the party scene and close enough to get to town
3) The pool is the best. David would clean it every morning for us. Need to know how to swim, shallowest is 6 feet and deepest is 7 feet.
4) Amenities: It has coffee machine, AC was great, you get 2 bath towels per room, 2 full size fridge with freezer, rice cooker, pots, pans, utensils, glasses, coffee maker, propane bbq grill, oven, almost every room has a full bathroom. It’s huge. You simply need to go groceries
In town
...overall I could not recommend this venue and the hosts enough. It is worth the price and you get what you paid for. Pura Vida! Read Less

The House itself was better than we could have hoped, the views were stunning and the Stars at night are some of the best i have seen. For a Bachelor Party, we couldn't have asked for a better host or home to spend our trip.

Bob recommended a surf competition while we were there and it was the highlight of the trip and it was free to attend! David who watched the house was extremely nice and had the best watch dog.
We had a group of 11 and we really enjoyed having our own space but we still had plenty of room to gather inside the house during meals. It’s a perfect spot for a big group. And the host are really good at helping out with whatever.
A few notes is if you don’t rent a car it will cost you around $25-$30 one way, but the host are really good at getting you a taxi if you need it.
Also, the pool is 6ft across with no swallow end, but they do have floats!

Bob was a great host. He met us when we arrived, showed around the place, provided tips/recommendations and made sure we are settled in nicely before taking off. He was also very responsive when we had questions, and was able to organize some last minute excursions for a fairly large group. It was also convenient that Bob is an American, since our Spanish was fairly limited 🙂
The house was awesome and accommodated 3 families (including 7 kids) comfortably. It was spacious and clean, and enough room for everybody traveling.
The pool was amazing and kids spent every minute we were at the house.
The house was also conveniently located close to restaurants, shopping and beach. We walked to beach every day. Great spot for surfing, but also other typical beach activities.
We had a chef cooking for us pretty much every day, and it was nice that the house had a large dining area that accommodate a large group.

They answered the bell everytime. As far as the house goes, it gives you an amazing experience of what living like a king (or queen)in Costa Rica would feel like. They offered great spots to eat and things to do while we were there. Great communication and Very cool about everything.
Not an issue but just a heads up about the space to anyone thinking of staying. - the pool is 6feet throughout with no shallow end. And the space is very remote. You’re literally on a mountain away from everyone, but they make transportation fast and easy.
I would recommend this space to any group. It’s in a great location and the host are exceptional. Read Less

Read MoreA group of 8 of us stayed at this property for my Bachelor party. First, I want to commend both Antonio and Bob for their outstanding communication prior to showing up, and more importantly, their continued hospitality throughout the duration of our stay— they arranged all of our activities, a day where we had a chauffeur, and provided any/all suggestions we could ask for. Now for the house itself, the place is within a quick 5 minute walk to the strip where all the bars are, but far enough away where you hear minimal street noise. The house itself was clean upon arrival and was consistent with the pictures provided. I do want to point out a couple of things—- the fact that there is a lockbox at the front door to put the house key in is an excellent way to ensure no one from a large group gets locked out and that the key doesn’t end up getting lost. The house was quite spacious and accommodated our group of 8 just fine. However, I really wouldn’t want to have more than 10 people stay at this property (purely due to the number of beds and comfort). Really the only negatives I can think of are the following: each room has its own AC unit and unfortunately, the unit in the largest of the bedrooms upstairs works inferior to those in the other rooms leaving it far too hot (I was stuck in this room and found myself waking up sweating the entire trip)— this certainly needs to be fixed considering how humid and hot the room can get. Also, the towels were far too worn and small— they weren’t body sized towels, but rather medium towels like those typically used as a “hand towel”— nonetheless, too small and need to be replaced— we went through these rather quickly. All in all, any of the negatives are rather small inconveniences that can be fixed. The positives of the helpfulness and truly “concierge” assistance from the hosts far outweigh any of the cons. Thanks to both Antonio & Bob for making sure we had a blast!!

The place is literally 3 blocks from the main strip where all of the restaurants, bars, clubs, MasXMenos (the Wal-Mart in Costa Rica) is so it is very close to everything and all you do is walk. However, the best attribute of the entire place is the host-Bob. He was great at arranging our pick-up from the airport, helping us pick restaurants and places to go, stopping by everyday just to check on us to ensure we were good, and making sure that we had a great time...just a cool guy to hang out with and became an "honorary" of our squad. The place is great and his assistance and knowledge of how to navigate Costa Rico made this trip awesome and highly recommend staying at this house. Read Less

The house has a great main living area with a large oversized table made of beautiful wood and a sectional couch that can fit many people for some Netflix. There is a small pool in the backyard that felt like a bit of heaven after a day of shopping and eating and ocean. Bob can set you up on any excursion and finds the best prices.
