Surfing Lessons

About:

Learn how to ride for the first time or improve your skills on the waves in Costa Rica and get tips from the local professional Yuca to help you have the most fun on the waves – always safe, in control and of course having fun!

We offer different levels of surf lessons:

Beginner
With the Beginner surf lessons, we start with 15 minutes of theory of safety and positioning so you learn the right take-off technique to enable you stand up on the board correctly. The goal of the lessons is to familiarize you with the ocean and waves and to make you feel comfortable in the water and enjoy the feeling of riding waves in paradise.

Intermediate
The Intermediate surf lessons are for surfers who are already familiar with surfing the whitewater (after the wave breaks). We want to surf your first unbroken waves with you and try to teach you your first turns on the waves. We will give you expert tips to get you surfing on the next level, so you are able to feel comfortable surfing the waves. Then you can move on and be taught our Advanced surf lessons.

Advanced
Your surf coach will go surfing with you and to spot and correct any mistakes. You will get valuable tips so you have the opportunity to optimize your surfing and improve your abilities on the board during your stay in Costa Rica. Through effective coaching, you will soon be able to maneuver comfortably and enjoy the beautiful waves on the Pacific coast.

Lesson Times:

Lessons are 2 hours – The lesson time depends on the time of the ocean tide that day.
You can go ahead and book to reserve the day you would like to take your lesson and we will coordinate the time of your lesson with you soon after. You are in good hands!

$60 per person – Deposit $25 per person
